Who we are

iDoRecruit is a workforce placement service that connects job seekers — including people re-entering the workforce — with employers, and provides case-management support through our team. Our services are provided at no cost to job seekers and are supported by workforce and grant funding. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use iDoRecruit, we may collect:

  • Account information — name, email, phone, and password.
  • Profile & employment information — work history, education, certifications, skills, references, availability, and resume content.
  • Demographic information — such as gender, race, ethnicity, veteran and disability status, education level, language, and public-assistance participation. This is optional and used only for case management and program reporting.
  • Background & supervision information — for justice-involved job seekers, this may include criminal-record details, release dates, facility, and parole/probation officer contact information.
  • Emergency contact and contact preferences.
  • Employer information — company details and job postings, for hiring partners.

Some of this is considered sensitive information. You provide it voluntarily, and you may choose “Prefer not to say” or leave optional fields blank. You are not required to provide demographic information to use the core features of the site.

Why we collect it

  • To create and operate your account and build your resume.
  • To match job seekers with employers and support placements.
  • To provide case management — our team may reach out to support you, coordinate with employers, and, where relevant, communicate with your parole/probation officer or state program staff about your program standing.
  • To report aggregate and required participant data to the workforce and grant programs that fund our services.
  • To communicate with you about your account, applications, and relevant opportunities.

Who we share it with

  • Employers — only the profile and resume information relevant to a job you apply for or ask us to share. We do not share your demographic information with employers.
  • Government and funding agencies — information required for eligibility, reporting, and compliance with the programs that fund our services.
  • Supervision and case-management partners — where relevant to your support, and consistent with the consent you provide.
  • Service providers — vendors who help us operate the platform (for example, hosting and email delivery), under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

How we protect it

We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls that limit sensitive data to our staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information confidential and to limit who can see it.

Your choices and rights

  • You can review and update your information anytime in your profile.
  • You can request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
  • You can withdraw your consent or ask us to stop contacting you; note that some information may be retained where required for program reporting or legal compliance.

To make a request, contact us using the information below.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, meet grant and legal reporting obligations, and resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
